What season of being a "Disciple" of Christ would you say that you are currently in?
New Believer — I have recently given my life to Jesus and I am starting to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus. I have been baptized. I am just starting to learn more about Bible reading, prayer, and serving. I am starting to attend church more frequently and have begun to meet with other Christ followers. I am starting to learn about the Holy Spirit and how He wants to direct and guide my life.
Some Time As A Believer — I have been following Christ for some time and I have gained some experience in knowing what it means to be a disciple of Christ. I try to meet with Jesus regularly, and read my Bible, and pray, and serve. I have attended some small groups at my church. I occasionally serve at my church. I have been either leading or taking part with my family in bible studies or prayer times for some time. I have seen some real growth and fruit as a Christian and I have been experiencing God transforming me by His Spirit. I would not say that I am new to being a Christian; but I also would not say that I have lots of years of obedience to His Spirit. I would not say that I currently possess significant spiritual maturity. I would not say that I have years of discipling and strengthening other people in their walks with Christ.
More Mature - I have been walking with Jesus for a lot of years and I have experienced a lot as a disciple of His. My life has been completely changed for a long time and I see and experience increasingly more victory and peace when there used to be much more defeat and increasing chaos. I regularly disciple and strengthen other Christ followers. I am passionate about The Bible and I am passionate about loving people as Christ loved them. I have been at times recognized by others as a mature and wise Christ follower, and they have asked me for counsel when they were faced with difficult situations. I regularly find ways to share my faith with family and friends and strangers. I very rarely let fear hold me back from doing what I know God wants me to do. I try to do my best to allow the Spirit to use all of my life for His glory. I am typically pretty difficult to offend, I forgive pretty quickly, I am careful with my words, I am growing more victorious in self control, and increasingly more people say that I am dependable and humble.
