Here are your 2022 finalists for outstanding community volunteer! You all submitted their names and now they need your help voting for a winner!! The winner will be announced the night of the Gala on August 6, 2022. You may vote once a day until voting ends on June 26, 2022. Joyful Journeys wants to recognize everyone's efforts - it takes a village to help our communities thank you for making an enormous impact on your community!!
Shannon Dill because of her sheer awesomeness - but seriously: I am nominating Shannon not only because of all the hard work she puts into Bingo every week, but also because of all the hard work she puts into her friendships. She is always there when you need her, no questions asked. There isn't anything she wouldn't do to help someone in need.
Kimberely Stack VOLUNTEERS her free time to run bingo on Wednesday nights and on Friday night bingo she is there to support the other manager until 11pm. Sometimes even at 2 am. Shes always supporting JJs, the staff and other volunteers in various forms. She's a full-time mom, full-time teacher, and full-time volunteer. Always with a smile on her face ready to yes to anyone anywhere for anything!

Colorado JBF Owners: The JBF owners have collectively worked together to help support the community on many levels. From helping families make some extra money by selling their gently loved items. To helping other families get what they need for their kids. All the while their efforts keep things out of the landfills, which is helping to save our environment. In addition, they give back to local charities however they can, from cash donations to time working, to helping support the charities' mission with donated items. They have been a conduit for thousands of Colorado families to donate hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of donations.
Carrie & Carlos Montoya: Carrie and Carlos have been volunteering for several years at Joyful Journeys community garden. They have taken the lead organizing donations, funding, and gardening needs. They go above and beyond with helping this program feed and serve fresh produce to the community.
Ellen Kammerzell: Ellen is described as a social justice force to be reckoned with and a selfless woman! She is also one of the cofounders of Let Your Light Shine, a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on community outreach in Adams County! Ellen donates food and toys to many of Joyful Journeys numerous programs like Santa Shop, Easter, Holiday dinners, and food drives to provide opportunities to our communities.
Lucas Garcia: Created Colorado Creating Change. Lucas is devoted to providing services on the reservation often overlooked for our Native American brothers and sisters.
Renee Bernhard: Renne has founded Foster Source a nonprofit catered to assist foster families providing resources. Foster Source provides education and awareness to foster children and foster and kinship families.
Tanya Russell: Tanya has been an advocate for youth at the Brighton Youth Commision.
Cheryl Kirkland: Cheryl has donated kid's bikes, easter baskets, food, Christmas gifts, and more to many of Joyful Journeys programs. Without these donations our programs couldn't be as successful as they are. Thank you, Cheryl, for making an enormous impact on the community. Your generosity doesn't go unnoticed.
